Thank you to everyone who joined us for Top of the Town on June 25, 2020! Community Roots Housing raised over $200,000 at our first ever virtual Top of Town. This total includes sponsorships, ticket sales, pledges, donations and matching gifts, and donations made in lieu of attendance.
Every gift enables our work building new affordable homes, supporting residents' access to opportunity, and keeping our communities healthy.

Everyone has the right to a quality, affordable home.
At Community Roots Housing (formerly Capitol Hill Housing), this truth drives our work.
Every community should be served with the full humanity of its current and future members in mind. We build and sustain communities in which everyone can thrive.

We were thrilled to have Benjamin Hunter perform, a musician who has worked closely with JazzED. Benjamin plays violin, mandolin, guitar, and sings. He composes original works, and plays with a variety of groups, playing classical, jazz, world, folk, blues, and country. In addition, Benjamin is a socialpreneur, educator and a founder of cultural spaces Hillman City Collaboratory and the Black & Tan Hall.
"Community Roots Housing has a different take on partnerships. This is not a standard real estate development company that was just cranking out houses and moving on. They’re committed to not only their residents, but also to the community-led organizations they work with. It really began to show me that Community Roots Housing at its heart is about community, and that’s the kind of people that we like to partner with."
